Dwilla Mortimore, an experienced management consultant and executive coach at Director level, came to us with a problem, which was causing her a lot of discomfort at work. Over the years, she had reached an uneasy truce with her boss. Both experienced managers, Dwilla said, "I am too old to be told what to do".

Our solution was to profile them both using Thinking Styles and generate a Two-Way Relationship Profile, so that they could more easily identify each other's strengths and potential weaknesses.

Dwilla described it as: "a breakthrough - we discovered that we are too alike - we are both Internally Referenced Mismatchers, which means that we both think that we know best, and we are prepared to argue about it. So that's what we used to do all the time - argue. Now that we've had our Thinking Styles profiles done, and we understand each other and our relationship, we get on better than we have in twenty years. It just goes to show you are never too old to learn something new".
